BARROBot.

BARRO public reading agent. It reads only the public pages of the client domain that has explicitly authorised the Public Evidence Web Layer. This page describes what it does, what it does not do, and how to request opt-out.

Canonical User-Agent

BARROBot always identifies itself with the following User-Agent string:

BARROBot/1.0 (+https://barroaudit.com/bot)

The suffix (+https://barroaudit.com/bot) points to this very page. If you receive a request with a User-Agent claiming to be BARROBot but not pointing to this domain, it is not ours. You may contact us to verify.

What BARROBot does

  • Reads public pages of the client domain that has authorised the reading.
  • Honours robots.txt on every visit. If your robots disallows reading, we do not read.
  • Reads at most 12 pages per domain in a single reading.
  • Follows redirects only within the same domain (apex and www).
  • Waits at least 1 second between consecutive requests.
  • Honours Crawl-delay declared by your robots when greater than 1 second.
  • Closes the reading cycle in under 60 seconds.

What BARROBot does not do

  • Does not access private areas, intranet, or login-protected content.
  • Does not execute JavaScript or render dynamic pages in a headless browser.
  • Does not submit forms, log in, or download protected files.
  • Does not visit a domain that has not explicitly authorised the reading.
  • Does not perform continuous tracking. Each reading is one-off and tied to a specific report.
  • Does not use external sources such as Apollo, Hunter, LinkedIn, or commercial contact databases.
  • Does not download heavy assets (images, video) beyond textual evidence.

What is persisted after the reading

BARROBot does not store your full HTML. After the reading, only the following is persisted:

  • Aggregated structural signals (presence of products, solutions, cases pages, etc.).
  • sha256 hashes of the content read, as internal reference.
  • Public URLs visited and their HTTP code, for operational traceability.
  • Process metadata (date, number of pages, technical errors).

The HTML body is not stored, the full page contents are not stored, and signal-associated text is limited to short fragments without personal information.

This layer does not affect the score

Public Evidence Web Layer · v2.9.0a

The public reading produces an observable evidence block on the client web report. It does not modify the score, the verdict, the archetype, or the leak. This layer measures public projection, not operational reality: a company with a solid commercial system may have a limited public footprint, and that does not audit it worse.

Opt-out

If you do not want BARROBot to access your domain, three mechanisms are available:

  • robots.txt. Add a directive specific to our UA.
User-agent: BARROBot
Disallow: /
  • Do not authorise the reading when starting the Score ARENA Express. The consent checkbox is unchecked by default. No reading runs without explicit authorisation.
  • Direct contact. Write to privacy@barroaudit.com and we will block the domain in our internal list within five business days.
